How PMP Certification Can Change Your Ordinary Life

How PMP Certification Can Change Your Ordinary Life

Industry’s most respected and honorable accreditation body, PMI, will make you a PMI certified professional. Project management was a growing field in the defence, aerospace and construction industries in the 1960s. These people, as well as academics, founded the Project Management Institute (PMI). It was established at the Georgia Institute of Technology in October 1969 as a non-profit organization that focuses exclusively on project management. The 1975 objectives of PMI were to “foster recognition that project management requires professionalism; provide a forum to exchange project management problems, solutions, and applications; coordinate industrial research efforts; develop common terminology to improve communication; provide interface between users of hardware and software; and provide guidelines for instruction and career advancement in the field. The PMI(r), which has over 180 members, sets the industry standard in project management excellence. The PMI(r), which has over 300,000 members, focuses its efforts on advancing project management science, practice, and profession around the globe. You will notice a change in your work style after becoming PMP certified. This is a significant improvement over the unstructured approach to managing projects. Project managers have to be able to use a variety of processes, tools, and techniques to manage projects. PMP certification gives them a sense ownership and discipline. Motivation to lead, direct, and bring about change in a disorganized infrastructure. It is a proven fact that professionals who have completed the PMI’s intensive training in Project Management are equipped with all the knowledge and get a direction to take initiative to make positive changes to their organization. They can identify the problems in the current system and suggest a productive and effective way to manage projects and businesses. They speak more in PMP language, which impresses senior management. This makes them more confident and helps them get higher positions and better jobs in the organisation. You will have the opportunity to meet and network with intellectual and successful people at local chapters and conferences of PMI. PMI and local PMI chapters invite professionals to participate in the networking programs that are designed to strengthen and build the professional community for Project Management Professionals. Non-members and members are welcome to attend networking events. This will allow them to expand their influence, establish professional relationships, or just have a great evening of conversation. Networking Programs provide opportunities to meet other program and project managers. They offer a variety events to appeal to different interests. The Salary that is “The Best” in Industry The PMP certification differentiates professionals from other project managers candidates even though the company doesn’t require it. As a screening tool for companies seeking project management candidates, PMP certification is growing in popularity. It will be as important as a college education over time. The PMP certification shows that you are a better project manager than someone who doesn’t have it. It also shows potential employers that you take the job seriously.

How Philomena Passed Her PMP(r).

Through God’s intervention and hard work, I passed my PMP(r), exam on 1/12/19.
My journey began January 15, 2018 and ended January 12, 2019. (I don’t recommend this time-frame to anyone. However, mine took longer because I was lazy and life got in my way.
However, I started by taking a prep course, and then I was only about 40% prepared.
So I tried another one, but I wasn’t getting where I needed to be. Both of these courses were accredited by PMI. It wasn’t that I didn’t understand the information, it was just that I wasn’t understanding it as well.
They were both very affordable. Between the 1st course and the 2nd, I read the PMBOK(r). I think criminals should be able to read the PMBOK (r) instead of going into jail.
Yes, the PMBOK(r), is a BORE to be read! This is partly why this journey took me so long to complete the PMBOK(r).
I discovered ExamsPM’s course via YouTube in the middle of November 2018. Helena kept repeating how you can follow her course to get your PMP(r), in just 6 weeks.
I promised myself that I would do everything she asked me to and that if I fail, I will get my money back.
When I signed up for the first time, I was only interested to answer the practice questions. However, I felt I had already taken 2 similar courses. I decided to go through the entire course, and then I noticed the difference between ExamsPM and the other courses. It was Helena’s way of teaching the course!
All the concepts I struggled to understand suddenly made sense to me.
After completing the course, I took practice questions. I scored between 69 and 71%. I kept practicing more questions. I kept practicing more questions. I realized that I didn’t understand the concepts, but the situational questions were what was stumping me (mainly because I tend overthink things).
I prayed that I wouldn’t be asked too many situational questions on the actual exam day…I don’t believe God heard me. I continued to practice between ExamsPM and free online practice questions… I practiced more than 3,200 questions before the day of exams.
My last practice test result was 88%. That was my highest score yet.
ACTUAL EXAM DAY
I went to bed earlier than usual the night before because I had read all the blogs, but I was so nervous that I woke up three hours later and couldn’t go back to sleep no mater how hard I tried.
This meant that by the time I sat down to write the exam at 8 a.m., I had already been up for 8 hours and was beginning to feel fatigued.
As if that weren’t enough, the questions were difficult. They were mostly situational questions (like I said before, God must have not heard my prayer). Despite all the practice I had, I was still stumped by the questions. I panicked and tried to remember everything I had read. I then guessed the answer if I wasn’t sure, marked it for review, and moved on.
I was able to complete the 200 questions in just 3 hours and 40 minutes. However, I had already marked many questions for review so I went back and took my time to understand the questions. I was able complete about 10 to 12 questions before the time ran out.
I was confused at this point and the 2 minute survey that they took before showing the results seemed like the longest wait of my life. But suddenly, the screen lit up with CONGRATULATIONS. It was worth all the stress.
Let’s sum it all: ExamsPM is the best.
1. Helena really breaks down and makes it understandable the PMBOK(r). – The PMBOK (r) was clearly designed by a mean person who is likely in hell and laughing loudly every time someone attempts to read it.
2. This course is the only one that offers a free review of the PMI application. It was a tremendous help. I was i

How Phil passed his PMP(r), Exam in just 3 Weeks with ExamsPM

Phil was already a project manager when he was asked by his boss to become certified. He procrastinated for many years, and when he finally decided to get serious, he only had 3 weeks before his exam. Then he discovered ExamsPM.
[one_half_first] [/one_half_first][one_half_last]
Here’s what happened.
Phil was asked by his manager to become PMP(r). He began taking prep classes on costing, budgeting and risk management. These classes earned him 35 credits.
[/one_half_last]
Phil was approved after submitting his application twice and getting rejected twice. He procrastinated, and time became a factor. He purchased a competitor’s product, but quickly realized that the teaching style didn’t work for him.
ExamsPM was the next thing he looked for online. After completing the free webinar, he was convinced that the course would help him succeed. The problem was that the course is only 6 weeks long and he had only 3 weeks to prepare for his exam. He was so certain that this was the right course for him, he bought it anyway with the determination to make the course work.
STUDY PLAN
Phil realized that he would need to double his studies as he had only half the time for the ExamsPM course. For the duration of the three-week period, Phil set aside 2 hours each morning and 2 hours each evening.
He discovered that memorizing the concepts was not enough for him. ExamsPM’s instruction to understand the concepts, and not just memorizing them, was the solution.
He found repetition of the course very helpful and was able to show all 49 processes to his co-workers on a whiteboard from beginning to end.
He admitted that he only took one of the practice tests.
PHIL’S ADVISICE
The PMBOK(r) can be consulted.
Submit your application to the PMP(r), Exam.
Register for ExamsPM six weeks before your exam. Note the testing date to help you determine how much time you have.
Practice exams are not important. However, if you score high on them, the benefit is that you will see the correct answers and learn from it.
Repetition is key!

What Does a PMP(r), Certification Cost?

Project managers around the globe can benefit from PMP(r), which is a great career boost. Do you know how much the PMP(r), Certification costs?
Many people mistakenly think it is expensive. Although it isn’t cheap, it’s still more affordable than other management courses.
Additionally, having a certificate can increase your chances of getting a higher-paid job by 25% compared to peers who are not certified in the same industry.
This certification is worth every penny, that’s what we can confirm. Let’s take a look at the total cost of obtaining a PMP(r).
What Does a PMP(r), Certification Cost?
You will need to invest in many aspects to obtain a PMP(r), just like other courses and exams.
After hours of research, we were able to break down the total cost into three categories.
Hidden Opportunities Costs
Preparation Material Prices
Exam Fees
This is a detailed description of the spending procedures to help you better understand the process.
Number 1: Hidden Opportunities Costs
The course costs a lot, and we’ll talk about that in a bit. To be fully eligible, you must study for months before you apply or finish the course. To achieve this certification, you will likely have to give up your social life.
According to some reports, people spend six months studying for this course for more than five hours per week. It’s like a hibernation period. You come into the study session as an absolute novice and leave the other end with confidence and skills. All this is at the expense your personal and social hobbies.
Six months is quite a long time. It might take you longer if you are a full-time manager of projects. During this time, you will need to invest in multiple tasks simultaneously.
If the sessions are manual, for example, you will need to add the tuition fee at a tuition center every day/week. Although it may not seem like much, it adds up over time.
You will also need to pay more if you sign up for a particular study session. In today’s modern world, nothing is free. We haven’t even included food and beverages to this list.
If you don’t have a job, the situation is even worse. Many people choose to stop working while they work towards a PMP(r). When they have more experience and are skilled, they want to apply for better opportunities.
If you are able to pay the living expenses like rent and food, it’s a good idea. It’s not a good idea, however, to put all of your savings into a course.
No matter how passionate you are about something, it is important to always have a plan B. There’s always a solution if you are in a hurry. This solves many problems at once!
The trick is to choose an online course over a physical one. Online courses are much more convenient than spending hours in traffic. You can do the same thing at home. You can do it in one month, instead of six months!
Many online centers offer the required course and prep information at a very affordable price. For more information, you can visit our instructions for online PMP(r), exam preparations.
We will discuss the benefits of online prep in a moment. For now, we recommend that you set aside $200-$300 for the preparation phase.
However, this cost will drop dramatically when you add online learning. Transport fees are taken out of the equation and you’ll only need 40-50% of your original investment.
Number 2: Preparation material costs
It is impossible to prepare for an exam without preparing. For PMP

5G Security: What you Need to Know

Implementing a network is a risky venture. One company might be eager to roll out 5G infrastructure. A user may jump at the opportunity to get a new 5G phone. When adopting new technology, one should not ignore the warning signs. It is important to know the depth of the water before you jump in. Unprepared people could face security threats from 5G wireless.
A New Network Architecture
4G is comprised of core and radio access networks. Those who are familiar with 4G will know this. The LTE core network is known as the Evolved Packaget Core (EPC), also known under System Architecture Evolution (SAE). The core includes the MME, SGW, P-GW and HSS. The e-UTRAN, which houses the eNodeBs (and the user equipment) on the radio side, holds the eNodeBs. These devices can be connected via various interfaces such as Uu (X2), S1, S11 and S5, S6 and S8.
5G is a further step in the evolution. Although the architecture is still divided into core and radio parts of the network, the focus has changed. As with all telecommunications, the evolution of the architecture has moved beyond hardware and connectivity to software applications. This is the essence of the name for the 5G core network: Service-Based Architecture.
All functions that were previously performed by physical devices in 4G can now be done by cloud-based microservices 5G. The radio side is still available, but it is now called the “gNodeB”. The 5G core is a significant step towards virtualizing infrastructure and allowing interoperability with existing 4G networks.

These changes present new challenges. In addition to the challenges of establishing and operating the new 5G infrastructure, 5G vendors have to be aware of a new range security threats. Virtualization can lead to the same vulnerabilities as any other software installation. Malware, data manipulation, privilege abuse — all the exploits hackers use to hack into online applications are likely plague 5G networks if they lack adequate security.
Multitenancy is another reality in the virtual world. Cloud users have access to resources that can be dynamically shared with other users. They may also be using the same physical devices as others, and may run their applications on the exact same software instance. It doesn’t matter if multitenancy is used for 5G users, it’s clear they will use the same Service-Based Architecture. 5G solutions will use network slicing. This is where specific customer use cases are served by a portion of a provider’s network. How can the provider keep these network slices separate from each other?
5G uses distributed networking in order to meet its users’ needs. This means that there are processes and threads that keep everything together despite the fact that they use a variety of resources. While we are trying to keep everything together in a new system, hackers and other bad guys will always be looking for cracks in the armor. It will not be easy.
5G Identity and Authentication
Any defense system must keep out intruders. To stop unwanted visitors, you must first know who is allowed in. For example, to gain access to a military base that is secure, you will need to show proof of authority. For some places that are extremely secure, such as data centers, you will need to provide biometric verification in order to verify your identity.
Authentication is required for virtual areas to be protected. There are currently three authentication methods available in the 5G network. 3GPP defines the Authentication and Key Agreement protocol (AKA). It uses a symmetric key that is shared by both the subscriber and a network home. EAP-AKA, a variant of AKA, is available. EAP-TLS leverages the trust relationship between UE and 5G network through the publi

5G Rollout: What Can You Expect?

We are nearing the rollout of 5G networks. This grand project promises many amazing benefits for users around the world. However, as with any new technology, the vision may not always be realized. Every innovation will face challenges, some of them unexpected and some of them anticipated. What is the current state of 5G development and implementation? Let’s take a look at the landscape and see what it looks like.
The Vision
5G is a huge leap in technological capabilities, it’s not secret. That’s the hope anyway. There’s a lot of activity in the telecom industry to make these expectations a reality. Imagine all the possibilities for wireless communications that are so innovative.

5G is expected 10 times faster than 4G. This was demonstrated by a Verge reporter during a test of Verizon’s Chicago deployment. These targets are laid out in the document “IMT Vision – Framework and overall objectives for the future development IMT for 2020” from the International Telecommunication Union.
Learn how to become a security expert with SPOTO’s Cybersecurity Training
Start trainingThese ambitious goals have generated a lot of excitement in the telecom industry. Verizon is a leader in rollouts and carriers are ramping up. However, the harsh realities of a changing marketplace and fickle market can often ruin the dreams and hopes of network professionals. The bank account is often the first complaint.
The Cost of 5G
The price consumers pay will have a direct impact on the amount of money providers need to provide services. In the case of 5G wireless we are talking about a lot.
McKinsey and Company identified four areas of 5G development. They are 1) enhanced mobile broadband; 2) Internet of Things, 3) mission-critical control, and 4) fixed wireless connectivity. They also expressed concern: “But the economics, business model and ability to monetize this use case at scale in the near-term to justify a nationwide rollout in any country today remain ambiguous.”
There are two types of 5G that carriers can implement. It’s all about bandwidth. McKinsey’s “low-to-mid-band 5G network” refers to anything below 6 GHz. This could be a more cost-effective 4G infrastructure. However, “high-band spectrum”, which is above 6 GHz, requires a denser network. This means that there are many cell towers in a small area.
You can see what is happening in Montgomery County, Maryland. According to an online report, there are 61 towers located less than 30 feet from the homes of North Potomac residents. Imagine the cost to carriers for all these towers, in addition to the health risk some residents may claim. According to the FCC, 5G will require 20,000 tower technicians in order to install all those towers. 5G implementation will be costly just because of the tower investment.
Vendors and 5G carriers will work together to reduce consumer perceptions about costs. Cell phone users are used to paying a monthly fee to get expensive devices. If they purchase a payment plan, early 5G users may not feel the full cost of the $1300 Samsung Galaxy S10-5G from Verizon. Verizon’s $55 for 5G service may seem reasonable at the moment.
The industry will have to recoup its investment. If you have ever been frustrated by the cost of your 4G wireless broadband data plan, don’t lose heart. How will the market react?

5 Ways Windows Server has Evolved

Since Microsoft Windows Server 2003, the main operating system used to host a server-client-based network, more than a decade has passed. There have been several versions since 2008, 2012 and 2016.
Microsoft has made it easier for administrators to manage users, resources and networks as the operating system evolves. Here are five ways that the server operating system has improved to help administrators. For more information, see our Microsoft Windows Server training.
1. Windows Containers = Less Resources Required
Hyper-V was made available with Windows Server 2008 and allowed administrators to create VMs as required. Administrators could manage all VMs from one dashboard. This made it easier to install third-party apps and instead of having to go to multiple locations.
Windows Server 2016 provides containers. These containers are a lightweight way to deploy small applications quickly and don’t require a lot of resources. Containers can be thought of as mini-VMs that allow you to quickly deploy applications. You can use containers to test your applications and create temporary containers for employees.

Start training2. PowerShell offers improved command-line options
Windows Server 2003 featured the Windows command line in a similar fashion to other Microsoft operating systems. Microsoft soon introduced PowerShell, which combines the command-line with the.NET programming languages. It also supports shell-style commands that many Linux administrators may recognize.
PowerShell is Windows Server 2016’s core operations programming language. PowerShell is the core operations programming language for Windows Server 2016. It allows you to deploy applications, manage system information, obtain statistics on your server, use Active Directory, and move files around your network. It’s far more robust than the Windows command-line administrators may have remembered from Server 2003.
3. Backup Support Enhancements
Backup support is available on all Windows operating systems, even desktop Windows. However, it is very basic. Windows Server 2003 administrators were often forced to purchase backup support software from third-party vendors. However, this might not be as important with Windows Server 2016.
Server 2016 administrators have Resilient Change Tracking (RCT) as a built-in backup method. RCT is used to backup virtual machines. However, it also supports older standards. RCT allows you to create incremental backups instead of a complete backup every time. Only the content of your server that has been modified on the VM will get backed up to your choice location.
4. Windows Nano Server and The Cloud
Windows Nano Server is a revolutionary new operating system. It is unlike anything since Windows Server 2003. Cloud applications and infrastructure in cloud were not available before Server 2003. This was because only those who had the money to build them could access them.
The cloud is now available to individuals, small businesses, and enterprises. Microsoft’s introduction to cloud services for virtual machines that are created within the network is Nano server. Nano Server is a simplified version of the full operating systems. You can deploy VMs faster using the standard GUI interface.
5. Future Licensing Structure
Most administrators have known that licensing is based upon concurrent users or seats. Microsoft is changing the licensing requirements for 2016 Server products. The licensing fee you pay will depend on the infrastructure that you have. Licensing fees are charged per core.
This new licensing fee structure supports cloud architectures, which is the direction most enterprise infrastructure is heading. Enterprise networks use at least a hybrid cloud as part of their network resource.

5 Ways to Secure Environments With Azure

Cloud applications are becoming increasingly vulnerable to data breaches, so it is essential that the enterprise network has someone who understands security and can protect it from attackers. Microsoft-based applications rely on Azure. Therefore, IT professionals need to be familiar with the details of Azure data protection. Microsoft’s most recent certification covers security fundamentals in Azure.
Here are some security features you should know.
1. Microsoft Anti-malware for VMs
Companies can compromise their data by placing malware on a computer (usually through a phishing attack). The malware can then send data to the attacker. This data could come in the form a text file that was retrieved from the keylogger.
You can stop the malicious software from running by using Microsoft’s antimalware monitor in Azure virtual machines. You, the administrator, receive an alert so that you can remove the malware before it spreads any private information.
Learn how to become a security expert with SPOTO’s Cybersecurity Training
Start training2. Azure Identity Management
You can have your users create 12 passwords for each app, or you could use Azure’s Active Directory Premium. If your users have accounts that are spread across the network, there is a chance that one account could be lost after the user leaves. If you don’t deactivate the account, you have a security flaw because users can log in even if they’re not with the organization anymore.
Azure Active Directory Premium allows you to provide a single sign on (SSO) for all your users. It is a single-stop identity management system that allows you to manage applications in any SaaS environment.
3. Two-Factor Authentication
What happens if your users lose their passwords? Azure’s integrated two factor authentication system makes it easy. Two-factor authentication uses a password along with the user’s smartphone to send an encrypted pin during the login process. A user cannot log in if they don’t have access to the second device.
Azure already has this feature, so you don’t need to purchase expensive hardware or software to support two factor. You must be able configure and support it as an administrator for your Microsoft Azure environment.
4. Storage encryption and role-based access control
Any data sent to the cloud can be accessed by eavesdroppers. If you transmit data in plain text and without encryption, your data could be accessed by eavesdroppers. Azure Storage allows you to encrypt information while it is being transmitted to reduce the risk for data leaks from eavesdropping.
Microsoft also offers role-based access controls. Role-based access controls are based on a “need for know” basis. This security phrase is used to ensure that you have access to all areas of your system. According to the standards, you should only allow access to those who are required to know the data in order to perform their job function. They shouldn’t be granted access if they don’t require it.
5. SQL Server Database Controls
SQL Server is an important part of any enterprise and is the main target of hackers. Administrators must take extra precautions to ensure that SQL Server is protected because SQL can store all of a company’s data records.
Azure increases security by restricting certain SQL statements that you use in Management Console. These restrictions must be recognized and implemented by the administrator to ensure that database activity runs smoothly. Domain authentication is used in cloud environments. Therefore, the administrator must configure SQL for Windows authentication to ensure that users have access to the database using Active Directory.
Statements such as USE cannot be accessed from cloud databases. This is to ensure that an attacker can’t gain access to other databases if he/she can manipulate users or application codes into giving him access.
