Amazon Workspaces, a new service from AWS, is now available. It provides a fully managed desktop computing service in cloud. This service has a few main uses. It provides a high-quality environment for workstations with relative ease. Imagine that you have many remote employees who log in from home. This service allows them to access AWS virtual desktops instead of having physical servers on the company premises. They can log in and do their work remotely. This is especially useful when you are training many students and need to quickly provision a computer for each student, then release it at the end. This service allows employees to use the workstations offered by the service, and not store source code/database/or other sensitive data.
